TV and Film Production Guidance, from conception to release.
Police Film Advisor’s (PFA) advice and guidance will include but is not limited to, the following production requirements.
- Plot lines and scene setting – credible arcs, realistic locations, crime of passion v spontaneous action, organised, planned or series.
- Dialogue – police acronyms, language and interview styles.
- Character development – complexities of being a cop, work-life balance, mental health, victim, and suspect behaviour.
- Emotions – Victims, Suspects and Police, the good, the bad and the ugly and not forgetting the comedic!
- Costume and equipment necessities – plain clothes or uniform.
- Support Artist casting guidance – who would be doing what, realistic portrayals.
- PACE, Powers, and Procedures – what’s realistic and what’s dramatic license.
- Setting a scene – crime scene management, witness interviews, operational command.
- Policing Roles – strategic to operational, Chief to Constable, Firearms, Traffic and CID. Who does what and when?
